NYU Publishes Results Of Child Amputee Census

In May 1968 New York University Prosthetics and Orthotics published a report entitled "Patient Census at Child Amputee Clinics-1967," by Nancy K. Munson and Clyde M.E. Dolan. The census incorporates data provided by the 26 child amputee clinics cooperating in the program sponsored by the Subcommittee on Child Prosthetics Problems, plus 14 additional unaffiliated clinics. A total of nearly 4,000 children were reported as being under treatment during the calendar year of 1967. New cases presented for treatment during the year numbered 666, while 261 cases were closed for various reasons.
