Prosthetics International To Publish Issue On Immediate Postsurgical Fitting
The International Committee on Prosthetics and Orthotics of the International Society for Rehabilitation of the Disabled, publisher of Prosthetics International, has announced a forthcoming issue of special significance. The issue, which is to be distributed early in 1969, will be devoted to worldwide experience in the immediate postsurgical fitting of amputees as a system of management. A. Bennett Wilson, Jr., Executive Director of the Committee on Prosthetics Research and Development, is editor of the issue which will feature contributions by Ernest M. Burgess, M.D., of Seattle; Marian Weiss, M.D., of Konstancin, Poland; M. Berlemont, M.D., of Berck-Plage, France; Robert W. Klein, M.B.E., of Melbourne, Australia; M. Vitali, F.R.C.S., of Roehampton, England; and others, with an editorial by George Murdoch, F.R.C.S., of Dundee, Scotland.
