Please read this agreement carefully before using the web site. By accessing or using the web site, you agree that you are competent and of age to enter into this Agreement and to be bound by the terms and conditions below. If you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions, you should not access or use the web site.
The Association of Children's Prosthetic-Orthotic Clinics (“ACPOC") presents the information on this web site as an educational service to the public and to our members. While the information on this site is about prosthetic and orthotic devices and other health care issues, it is not medical advice. People seeking specific prosthetic or orthotic advice or assistance should contact a specialist through ACPOC’s “Find a Clinic" program on the web site or from another source.
Users of this site must be registered members of the Association of Children's Prosthetic-Orthotic Clinics (ACPOC). Alternatively, access may be granted for residents, fellows, and other medical providers by special arrangement with the ACPOC site administrator.
ACPOC monitors site usage and collects information about our users. Only personal information provided to gain access to the site will be evaluated. Any further User information that is collected will be voluntarily provided by the User in connection with site surveys.
Users of this web site may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the services or materials provided from this web site, nor may such Users reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of web site software, unless laws prohibit those restrictions or the User has express written permission from ACPOC. Material that may be downloaded by the User for his or own use will be identified as such by a “download” or similar link.
The ACPOC Find a Clinic program is for information purposes only, and does not operate as a referral service. ACPOC makes no representations or warranties of any kind as to the services provided by the specialists or clinics included in the Find a Clinic program. By using the ACPOC Find a Clinic program, you agree that ACPOC has no liability for services or advice received by any specialist or clinic whose contact information you derived from this program.
Although we believe the information on this site to be accurate and timely, because of the rapid advances in the field of prosthetics and orthotics and our reliance on information provided by outside sources, we make no warranty or guarantee concerning the accuracy or reliability of the content at this site or other sites to which we link. When clinical matters are discussed on this web site, the opinions presented are those of the discussants only. The material discussed on the web site is not intended to present the only or necessarily the best prosthetic or orthotic method or device, but rather presents the approach or opinion of the discussant.
This web site and the information, software and other material available on or accessible from this web site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, expressed or implied, including but not limited to warranties of title, noninfringement or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The ACPOC does not warrant that the web site service will be uninterrupted or error free or that any information, software or other material available on or accessible through the web site is free of viruses, worms, trojan horses or other harmful components.
No Liability or Other Damages
Under no circumstances shall the ACPOC be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages that result in any way from your use of or inability to use this web site, your reliance on or use of the information, services or merchandise provided on or through this web site, or that result from mistakes, omissions interruptions, deletion of files, errors, defects, delays in operation, or transmission or any failure of performance. The ACPOC specifically disclaims any and all liability for injury and/or other damages that result from an individual using techniques discussed on the web site, whether a physician or any other person asserts these claims.
Unauthorized Downloading or Distribution
Any unauthorized downloading and distribution of any copyrighted material from this web site or the sites to which we link, without the copyright owner's permission, is strictly prohibited.

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold ACPOC harmless from any and all liabilities, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, related to any violation of these terms and conditions by you.
ACPOC is a Section 501(c)(3), not-for-profit corporation, and as such, does not participate in any political activities. You are prohibited from participating in political activities while in the ACPOC sections of this web site.
Governing Laws and Venue
The ACPOC is located in the State of Illinois in the United States of America, which laws and regulations you agree shall govern the ACPOC web site regardless of where you reside or where you made your posting, transaction or connection with the ACPOC web site.
You agree to be bound by all applicable laws that may pertain to the site, including U.S. export and re-import laws and regulations. If any case or controversy arises regarding your use of the ACPOC web site, you agree that such case or controversy will be arbitrated or decided in the State of Illinois in the United States of America.
This website includes materials from Continuing Medical Education (CME) events that the content provider has participated in. Some drugs or medical devices demonstrated in CME events may have been cleared by the FDA for specific purposes only, or may have not been cleared by the FDA. The FDA has stated that it is the responsibility of the physician to determine the FDA clearance status of each drug or medical device he or she wishes to use in clinical practice. In accordance with AAOS Position Statement on “Off-Label Use of Medical Products,” off-label use of a drug or medical device may be discussed in CME events so long as the “off-label” use of the drug or medical device is also specifically disclosed (i.e., it must be disclosed that the FDA has not cleared the drug or device for the described purpose). For cleared medical devices, “off-label” means any use that is not included in the cleared “indications for use.” POSNA endorses this AAOS Position Statement and require that content providers apply it to content presented on this website.
Changes in Terms and Conditions
ACPOC reserves the right to change or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, and you agree to give effect to such changes or modifications upon their being posted to the ACPOC web site.
By participating on the ACPOC web site, you acknowledge that you are aware of these Terms and Conditions, that you understand these Terms and Conditions and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not wish to be bound by these terms and conditions, you should not access or use the web site.
