Manufacture of Individually Shaped Seats with Modular Components

Approximately 500 patients have been fitted with special seats. One of five standardized seat shell-models is adapted to the individual needs of the patient by foam rubber fillers which occupy the space between the patient who has been placed in optimized postural correction and the seat module. The standardized technique to prepare the six parts of the shell inserts was described. One can adjust and replace each part without renewing the entire seat. The manufacture was explained in detail as was additional componentry.
