Adaptation for Powered Seat Rotation in Wheelchair Systems

A turntable seating device for use with a powered wheelchair enables the patient to turn within a 360° radius without having to maneuver the wheelchair: The system utilizes a seating orthosis mounted upon a resilent base which is then attached to the wheelchair. The turntable is powered by the battery system of the wheelchair and is operated by a remote control. The user of this system is a 4-year-old girl with congenital amputation of all four limbs.
